Delicious Pasta Dish

Ingredients

For Veg Balls (Manchurian Balls):

  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped beans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions (green part)
  • 2-3 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Oil for deep frying

For Manchurian Sauce:

  1. 1 tbsp oil
  2. 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  3. 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  4. 1 small onion, chopped
  5. 1/4 cup chopped capsicum
  6. 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
  7. 1 tbsp vinegar
  8. 1 tbsp ketchup
  9. 1 tbsp chili sauce
  10. 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  11. 1/2 tsp salt
  12. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  13. 1/4 cup water
  14. 1 tbsp cornflour (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
  15. 1-2 tsp chopped spring onions for garnish

Steps:

  1. Prepare Veg Balls:
    • Mix chopped vegetables, ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, salt, pepper, flour, and cornflour.
    • Shape into small balls.
  2. Fry the Veg Balls:
    • Heat oil and deep fry the balls until golden brown and crisp.
    • Drain on paper towels.
  3. Prepare the Manchurian Sauce:
    • Heat oil, sauté ginger, garlic, onions, and capsicum.
    • Add soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, chili sauce, and sugar. Simmer.
    • Thicken with cornflour slurry. Adjust seasoning.
  4. Combine Veg Balls with Sauce:
    • Mix fried veg balls with the sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with spring onions and serve with rice or noodles.
